Overview

The T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) at Manipal University is one of the most prestigious business schools in India. Established in the year 1980 as Manipal Institute of Management, it was later renamed in 1981 to honour its founder. The B-school started in 1981 with a batch of 49 students enrolled in Postgraduate Diploma in Management.

The foundation stone for the new campus was laid by CM Ramakrishna Hegde in 1984, and the institute then moved to its own campus in the Academy of General Education.

The institute has five MBA courses, out of which one is general, and the other four are in specialized areas of banking, human resources, marketing and international business. There are courses for executive education as well as doctorate. There is also an online MBA course in Banking and Financial Services.

The mission of the B-school is to excel in the field of postgraduate education and promote research and practice of the best management principles in business.

The MBA in HRM has been designed in collaboration with the Society of Human Resource management to match global standards.

For the PhD course, candidates should have at least 60% or equivalent grade in masters’ courses related to management from a recognized university.

 

MBA Master of Business Administration Fee Structure ₹14 Lakhs (Entire Course) MBA Minimum Eligibility A graduate degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in qualifying exams. Final-year students are also allowed to apply but will cease their admissions if they fail to score 50% or more. Students are enrolled via three common examinations: CAT XAT NMAT by GMAC  There is also a group discussion and an interview round.
