Courses Offered in TAPMI Manipal

TAPMI offers MBA in five different specializations. Among them, one is general MBA and the other four are in: 

• Banking and Finance
• Human Resources Management
• Marketing
• International Business

MBA (General)

The MBA program has produced more than 5000 successful global business leaders, with the university claiming that about 20% of them are in key positions such as CEO, CFO, CTO and other executive roles.

1. The Young Leader Program, which focuses on developing leadership abilities in students through internships with senior executive level persons from reputed organizations. This program takes place in the sixth term in the second year.

MBA (Banking and Finance)

The program has a specialization in banking and finance and is based on the MS-Finance programs taught in the USA. With this, students also receive additional lessons on business management, which makes them even more capable of managing tough business challenges.

The TAPMI does not only provide quality education but also a curriculum that advances a student’s career better than any other business school.

Students receive a curriculum that has been certified by CFA C-BOK and FRM. Besides, students also receive scholarships to pursue these courses on their own, if they wish.

For real-world exposure, students receive training with top staff from SBI’s Staff Training College in Hyderabad, which helps them get well-versed in banking. Similarly, the BSE Training Institute in Mumbai, helps them in getting real world finance exposure. Students are also given hands-on experience in managing finance with SMIC, a student managed investment course and Samnidhy, a student managed mutual fund. This fund helps students get real world exposure by allowing them to commit mistakes in a controlled environment and under the guidance of experts.

Also for advanced education, students are exposed to TAPMI Finance Lab, which is an advanced environment powered by 7 Reuters Terminals and 16 Bloomberg Terminals.

MBA (Human Resource Management)

One of the core pillars of business management is managing human resources. TAPMI provides a course that will not only help students excel in this field but also become central support pillars and pro-active managers in whichever company they serve. 

The MBA in HRM has been designed in collaboration with the Society of Human Resource management to match global standards.

There is a Leadership Assessment and Development Center (LADC) which helps students get hands-on training in leadership development. TAPMI also teaches advanced analytics and data techniques that are used in advanced HR roles.

Further, several workshops, certifications, seminars, etc. help students matching competency for a global stage. Workshops are organized around the following topics:

• Emotional intelligence
• Total rewards management
• Organizational development techniques

For real-world exposure, students are offered flexible duration for internships, which may extend to 5 months. This helps them secure excellent positions as an HR manager.

Besides all of these, to develop a sense of social responsibility and empathy, students are made to undergo immersive projects in the social sector.

MBA (Marketing)

Marketing has been a very important part of a business and, hence, always has been a core part of the MBA curriculum. However, MBA in marketing takes one step ahead with specialized courses focused on advanced marketing analytics, strategies, research and several other key applications.

TAPMI offers super specialization tracks that are in high demand, such as:

• digital marketing management, 
• sales and customer service management
• brand and product management

These super specializations help students gain mastery over the most in-demand skills in the world of marketing. All of these super specializations have live projects and components of applied learning.

Other Courses

TAPMI also offers courses in other areas such as International Business, which also has a practical component and global exposure like other MBA Courses.

PhD courses in TAPMI focus on advanced research in the field of management.The full-time PhD course takes at least 4 years to complete and involves a year of rigorous coursework.

For the PhD course, candidates should have at least 60% or equivalent grade in masters’ courses related to management from a recognized university.
