VIT University is among the finest names in India when we talk about engineering. The university offers over 1 lakh engineering seats every year that are spread across four campuses in different parts of India. VIT offers 45 undergraduate courses across all its four campuses with a proficient studying infrastructure.
While Vellore is the first and main branch of VIT, the other branches are in Chennai, Amaravati (AP), and Bhopal.

Engineering Admission 2025 Started At VIT University
Students who wish to join VIT University need to appear for VIT Engineering Entrance
Examination (VITEEE). Application forms for the same are available until 31st March 2024, on VIT’s official website. VITEEE offers counseling for over 1 lakh students across all of its campuses combined. Here are some key dates to note down concerning VITEEE as follows:

- Create a profile and register with an email ID and mobile number
- Fill in all required details carefully
- Pay the application fee of 1,350 INR via Net Banking/ Credit/ Debit/PayTm. For international students, the charge is 90 USD. (this fee is non-refundable)
Eligibility to appear for VITEEE:
- Students appearing VITEEE must be born on or after 1st July 2002
- 10+2/ PUC certificates and mark sheets from reputed Indian boards are only considered for domestic students
- For NRI students, they should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian University (AIU) and ensure the class 12 examination grading is changed to a percentage
- Students should have secured 60% in PCM or PCB in their previous qualification examination
- For students from the reserved category, the marks requirement is 50% in the above-mentioned combination.
Admission process for Engineering 2024 at VIT University
VITEEE exam is a computer-based test, comprising a total of 125 questions, where 40 are from Maths/ Biology, 35 each from Physics and Chemistry. Aptitude and English come for 10 and 5 respectively. Additionally, there are no negative markings.
- Selection is based on the VITEEE rank.
- Selected candidates become eligible for giving options of their preferred choice of course, category of fees, and campus.
- The top 1 lakh students are eligible for counseling across all the four VIT campuses, whereas the students beyond the 1 lakh rank will be eligible only for Bhopal, and AP campuses.
- Qualified students will receive a mail about the counseling qualification followed by a counseling process for which a fee of 5,900 INR needs to be paid. (this is a non-refundable fee)
- Students can choose or modify their choices during the period of five phases of counseling.
- The allotment to a course and campus is based on the ranking secured in VITEEE.
- Once all the formalities are over, you will receive an email from VIT on your registered email ID, with all the details like fees, campus, and course allotted.
- Please note that a change of the program or campus is not possible once allotted.
