Yes, you can pursue a B.Tech in Bangalore without JEE. In fact, most engineering seats in Karnataka are filled through state and university-level exams, not JEE. Here are the main routes.
Entrance exams other than JEE: COMEDK UGET is the most popular route into private engineering colleges in Karnataka. Karnataka domicile students can also write KCET. Many universities conduct their own tests, such as PESSAT for PES University and DSAT for Dayananda Sagar University. Our COMEDK UGET 2026 guide covers dates, eligibility and the application process.
Management quota seats: Private colleges set aside seats for direct admission through the management quota. This usually does not need an entrance exam score but comes with higher fees.
