What a mock allotment means
A mock allotment is an indicative result, not a final seat. It shows which seat you would get if allotment were done today on the basis of your rank and the options you entered. Its purpose is to let you correct course: if the mock seat is far below your preference, or if you missed adding a college, the modification window is the time to fix it.
What to do after the mock result
- Check your mock allotment on the KEA portal on November 3 after 4:00 PM.
- Use the modification window from 5:00 PM on November 3 to 10:00 AM on November 5 to add, delete or reorder your options.
- Remember that the options as they stand after this window stay valid for Round 2 as well, so do not leave a careless order in place.
What comes next
After the modification window closes, KEA will publish the provisional allotment on November 5 at 8:00 PM and the final Round 1 result on November 6 at 11:00 AM. After the final allotment, candidates choose whether to accept and join the allotted college, hold the seat while trying for a higher option, surrender it, or exit KEA counselling.
If you are weighing postgraduate medical options in Bangalore, talk to a GCS Online counsellor at +91 6366615555 before the modification window closes on November 5.
Check the official KEA portal for the final schedule and results: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. KEA can revise the schedule, so confirm the dates there before acting.
