Sri Siddhartha Medical College (SSMC) was established in 1988 by the Sri Siddhartha Education Society (SSES), which was founded by Late Sri H.M. Gangadharaiah. 

The college is located in Tumkur, Karnataka, and aims to provide quality medical education with a strong focus on rural healthcare. It is affiliated with Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (SSAHE), a deemed-to-be university, and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The college currently offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate courses in various medical disciplines. The MBBS intake is 200 seats per year. Admissions are based on NEET scores and are filled through All India Quota, State Quota, and Management Quota as per government guidelines. 1. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

The MBBS program at Sri Siddhartha Medical College is a 5.5-year undergraduate degree that includes 4.5 years of academic study and 1 year of mandatory rotating internship. 

The course covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, community medicine, general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, and more. Students gain clinical exposure through regular postings at the attached teaching hospital.

Eligibility:

• Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

2. Doctor of Medicine (MD) / Master of Surgery (MS)
