RR Institute of Technology (RRIT), Bangalore, was established in 2008 under the aegis of the PKM Educational Trust, which was founded in 1993 by Sri Y. Raja Reddy and others. 

The institute was set up with the mission of providing quality education to all sections of society. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Located near Chikkabanavara on Hesaraghatta Main Road, RRIT is part of the RR Institutions campus, which spans 27 acres of land.
