International Management Institute, Bhubaneswar Overview

Set up as India’s first corporate-sponsored business school in New Delhi in 1981, International Management Institute (IMI) expanded its wings to Bhubaneswar in 2011. Sculpted in the ideology of a ‘gurukul,’ it stands tall on the four pillars: teaching, research, training, and consulting.

IMI Bhubaneswar has been ranked 70th in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022. The college, at present, offers post-graduate diploma programmes accredited by the AICTE. The creators of the institution drew inspiration from the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of start-up India to generate more job creators. In continuation of this thought, IMI Incubation Foundation was created on campus to promote start-ups in multiple domains.

The institution runs with a vision to develop students with an innovative mindset by imparting knowledge in global standards. Students passing out of this prestigious college are bestowed with decision-making and problem-solving skills that help them land the best jobs or pursue their entrepreneurial journey.

The college has accreditations from AICTE, NBA (Ministry of HRD), Association of India Universities (AIU), AMBA, NAAC, AMDISA, CII, EFMD, AIMS, USBES, and ARIIA. Various eminent people are members of the Academic Advisory Council guiding the creation of course structure at IMI.

IMI Bhubaneswar strongly believes in quality research and operates a research wing under the supervision of a three-member committee. Eminent academicians support the research wing and also conduct various seminars in the institute.

IMI Bhubaneswar offers excellent placement opportunities that start with Pre-Placement Talks (PPT). The PPT also assists students in the first year to secure summer internships.

A 2-year full-time post-graduate programme and a doctoral research programme are two exclusive programmes offered at the institution. IMI Bhubaneswar has accomplished training nearly 2000 corporate leaders and executives in the past ten years of its inception. Students are also encouraged to take part in various other B-school events and competitions.
