Revised NEET PG 2025 Cut-Off – Category-Wise Breakdown

As per the official notice issued by NBE on 13 January 2026, the qualifying cut off percentiles for NEET PG 2025 have been revised to allow more candidates to become eligible for counselling. Below is a clear category-wise comparison of the earlier qualifying criteria and the revised cut off after lowering of percentiles.

Category Earlier Qualifying Percentile Earlier Cut-Off Score (Out of 800) Revised Qualifying Percentile Revised Cut-Off Score (Out of 800)
General / EWS 50th Percentile 276 7th Percentile 103
General PwBD 45th Percentile 255 5th Percentile 90
SC / ST / OBC (Including PwBD) 40th Percentile 235 0th Percentile 40

These revised cut off scores are applicable only for counselling eligibility for the academic session 2025–26. The NEET PG 2025 ranks published earlier remain unchanged and seat allotment will continue to be based on rank, category, and availability of seats.

Important Clarification: Rank Remains Unchanged

It is important for candidates to clearly understand that the reduction in NEET PG 2025 cut off does not change the rank already published by NBE. The NEET PG 2025 result and rank list declared on 19 August 2025 remain final and unchanged.

The revised cut off only affects eligibility for counselling. This means more candidates can now participate in the counselling process, but seat allotment will still depend on the original rank, category, choices filled, and seat availability in each round. Candidates should plan their counselling strategy carefully based on their actual rank and realistic admission possibilities.
